Lynn Growth Partners is a boutique investment firm committed to supporting small business owners and startup founders in building and scaling strong, sustainable companies. We work closely with businesses navigating challenges around operational expansion, cash flow management, internal controls, risk management, process improvement, strategic planning, and fundraising.

We combine strategic expertise with growth capital to help business owners strengthen their operations, improve profitability, and position themselves for long-term success. Steve is a seasoned investor and advisor and leads Lynn Growth Partners’ operations in Canada. With nearly 30 years of experience in advisory and accounting, along with an additional 8 years in commercial roles, Steve brings a wealth of expertise to the table. Originally from the UK where he trained with Deloitte, his career has also encompassed postings to Thailand, Vietnam and Canada, allowing him to build a global perspective on business growth and transformation.

Steve’s professional journey includes a pivotal role at PwC Vietnam, joining the firm’s assurance department in 2005 before going on to establish it’s M&A advisory practice and growing it into the largest amongst the Big 4 firms in the country. Additionally, he led PwC Vietnam’s Consulting practice for five years, during which time it expanded fourfold. During his 20 years in Vietnam, Steve played a central role in some of the largest M&A transactions in the country, establishing himself as a key figure in the country’s business landscape.

In addition to his role as a co-founder and director at Lynn Growth Partners, Steve is currently a Director at Viva Consulting Ltd., a Vancouver-based M&A advisory and consulting firm, and serves as a Senior Advisor to Catalyst Advisory Vietnam, a boutique M&A advisory firm. Steve’s diverse background, which also includes ownership stakes in various small businesses, including a restaurant, a trading company and a startup accounting and advisory firm, reflects his hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to value creation.

Nguyen, originally from Vietnam, has spent much of his adult life in Singapore, Montreal, and Vancouver. Over the past decade, he has built a strong foundation in accounting, strategy, and operations management, with experience in both the public sector and startups.

In 2014, Nguyen joined Bench Accounting, a leading fintech startup in Vancouver, where he played an integral role in driving operational improvements, managing internal business functions, and developing strategic initiatives. His work at Bench involved hands-on delivery of accounting services, process optimization, and system enhancements that were crucial to the company’s growth.

Nguyen’s true passion lies in entrepreneurship, which led him to found two companies focused on developing recreational and commercial drone products. In one of these ventures, he actively managed operations and successfully grew annual revenue by 10x in under five years, showcasing his ability to drive significant operational scaling and profitability.

Nguyen co-founded Lynn Growth Partners in 2019 and has played a central role in leading the firm’s M&A activities. He has successfully negotiated and executed multiple transactions, acquiring ownership stakes ranging from 30% to 100% across four different businesses. His hands-on involvement spans the full deal lifecycle—from sourcing and due diligence to structuring and post-acquisition integration. In addition to his investment work, Nguyen has also advised early-stage startups in both Vietnam and Canada on capital raising strategies, investor communications, and operational readiness, working closely with Stephen to support founders through critical growth phases.

Now based in Vietnam, Nguyen oversees Lynn Growth Partners’ investments in the region and works on expanding the firm’s presence there, leveraging his extensive operational experience to guide growth and create value across the firm’s portfolio.
